About

A native of Chattanooga, Marc Sorin grew up in Memphis, TN. He is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School (1984) and earned his B.S. in Public Administration at Indiana University (1988). He went on to earn his J.D. from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at Memphis State University in 1991.

Marc began his legal career as an Assistant Shelby County Public Defender where he was privileged to represent and defend indigent criminal defendants charged with criminal acts ranging from simple misdemeanors to complex felonies. Marc then went into private practice for the next three decades during which he represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all manner of civil litigation. His legal practice has taught him that clear communication with his clients and gaining an understanding of their expectations are the hallmarks of a successful attorney/client relationship – tenets which continue to guide his employment law practice today.

Marc is the proud father of Eve, a Marketing Director for an entertainment production company based in New York City, and Beau, a Computer Science major at the University of Memphis. Marc served on the Board of Directors of Bornblum Jewish Community School from 2013 through 2021, and as its Board President from 2018 to 2020. When he is not working, Marc enjoys exercising, reading, and watching engaging television and movies.
