Attorneys Bill Walk and Joseph Smith Talk New DUI Law on WLOK’s Let’s Talk About It with Chip Washington

The state of Tennessee has recently passed a new DUI law that states; if someone kills another driver while driving drunk, then the drunk driver must pay child support to the victim’s family if the victim has children. Many people have questions on what all this can mean from insurance to criminal law, and WLOK’s Let’s Talk About It with Chip Washington had two attorneys on their show to detail what this can mean.

Personal Injury attorney, Bill Walk, of The Crone Law Firm helped detail what this could mean for you from an insurance perspective. He goes into great detail on what happens if the drunk driver is uninsured, how your insurance company might react, and how you can bounce back from such a traumatic experience.

Family law attorney, Joseph Smith, of Miles Mason Family Law Practice Group details all the ramifications of what this could mean for the victim’s family. He illustrates the child support process, while also discussing what could happen if the drunk driver that committed the DUI doesn’t have the money to pay child support.

This was a really great interview from three men that care passionately about the Memphis community. You can listen to the full interview below!
